This collection was collaborated on with one of my classmates. Our concept is inspired by the idea of humans living in harmony with nature. We wanted to capture the feeling of nature winding around the human body, so we experimented with incorporating leaves and petals onto our designs, as well as exploring flower arrangements to inspire the shapes of our garments. Through experimenting with fabric textures and draping techniques on mannequins, we have created silhouettes with bionic shapes and pleats that represent our observations of the natural world, including butterfly shapes, leaf patterns, and flower shapes. The goal of our project is to convey the message that humans should live in harmony with nature. We were inspired by the sentence, "Nature is more powerful than human beings and more tolerant, with a giving heart that accepts human greed and desire," which is the theme we want to convey. Our portfolio and collection's market level is aimed at high-end fashion consumers who value eco-friendly and sustainable fashion. We have used organic and recycled materials to create our designs and have ensured that our production methods are environmentally friendly. Our personal interest and involvement with the project are rooted in our passion for sustainable fashion and our desire to promote a more eco-friendly way of living. We have also been inspired by nature and its ability to create beautiful and intricate designs. During our project, we encountered several challenges, including finding the right materials to incorporate into our designs and ensuring that our designs were both aesthetically pleasing and sustainable. We overcame these challenges by conducting extensive research on sustainable materials and production methods, as well as experimenting with different design techniques. Our project has evolved significantly since the Midpoint Review. We have refined our design concepts and have focused more on the message of living in harmony with nature. We have also made significant progress in developing our designs and have created several new pieces that showcase our unique approach to sustainable fashion. Overall, our Thesis Project Concept is rooted in our passion for sustainable fashion and our desire to promote a more eco-friendly way of living. Through our designs, we hope to convey the message that humans should live in harmony with nature and show that sustainable fashion can be both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. Furthermore, I have a passion for fashion styling, and I have showcased the photos of our graduation fashion show, as well as images of myself modeling the designs I created. I aimed to convey an atmosphere of coexistence with nature through my styling choices.
